From Denny: Well, it's official. LSU Coach Less Miles is coaching his last game Saturday, 28 November 2015. But wait - it's official: Rich old white men are behaving like diva tittie babies throwing a collective temper tantrum, a few angry old men ignoring the wishes of thousands of LSU fans. Are they related to Putin? Sure looks like it because these guys have zero class about how they go about parting ways with a winning coach who is also a terrific guy and an effective teacher.
Coach Less Miles will come out of this well. He is already a wealthy man and will be wealthier still after his contract pays out. A good $15 million is expected to finish out his contract. Coach Miles is so well liked across the nation that he will be hired within hours by anyone from ESPN to college or NFL teams wanting to hire him.
Coach Miles has done a lot for this Baton Rouge community and the state of Louisiana by promoting the LSU brand. He should have been allowed one more year to pull up such a young team to the standard LSU fans have become accustomed to enjoying.

Normally I write on politics, nationally and internationally. But this situation is certainly politics too. These Gridiron Club boosters are seriously immature and lacking in any finesse is for sure. They are a shocking disappointment to the state of Louisiana, placing us in the spotlight for looking like a bunch of yahoo diva tittie babies. These boosters certainly look ridiculous to the fans all across the nation as well as in Louisiana.
It's the Gridiron Club boosters/Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF) who are the ones who have seriously damaged the LSU brand, not Coach Miles or the team. Of course, they hide behind anonymity so that shows how "courageous" they are, now doesn't it? The Gridiron Club should have at least waited until the end of the season and quietly parted ways with Coach Miles, paying out his full contract. That would have been the professional way to handle it but these diva tittie babies would have none of proper professionalism.
Instead, what have they done? A nasty whisper campaign, public temper tantrums and now talk of trying to figure out how to screw Coach Miles out of the very contract they signed to uphold. Yeah, these guys are such a class act - not.
The Gridiron Club has lost their focus along with their class - if they ever owned any. They have forgotten that LSU is a place to educate; it isn't the NFL and a multi billion dollar business. Education and the teaching of good character is the intended focus for the student athletes. Coach Les Miles was here to teach. He was here to teach young men how to succeed in life, not just football. Coach Miles succeeded beyond measure.
But not even Jesus Christ could be a prophet in his own home town. People there didn't listen to his teaching either. Did it ever occur to the Gridiron Club that Coach Les Miles was here to re-teach and remind those boosters the value of good character and how to proceed in business with finesse and a classy attitude?
So often people only read the surface of Life. "Oh," say the boosters, "Coach Less Miles is just a football coach. It was his job to win every game, bring home every championship, and, oh, by the way, make a few honorable mentions to developing good character to the students." Really? Coach Miles was really here to teach the boosters and they were the ones who chose to be unteachable. The team, the students or the coach were never the underlying issue. And that's the Truth of it.
The last time LSU boosters screamed this same temper tantrum, decades ago, to a favorite coach the city loved, it took over 20 years to rebuild the program. Today, after hearing of the firing of Coach Miles, students who were committed to come to LSU have now started wavering or outright passed on LSU. Quality replacement coaches look at how badly these boosters handled this situation and they don't want anything to do with coming to LSU. After all, if that's how the boosters treat a winning coach who became the LSU brand then how can the Gridiron Club boosters be trusted? Answer: they can't be trusted. Move along; nothing here to see.
As to Coach Miles? He's welcome at our house any time. Even though we have never met he will always be considered family. Real commitment never ends. And the Love lives on as an LSU fan for a great coach and a wonderful team of young men figuring their way through Life just like all the rest of us.
