*** Gen. McChrystal expected to resign for major faux pas against the President.
Photo by Pete Souza, The White House file
From Denny: Well, the hot dogs at the Pentagon have done it again. Ever since President Obama took office they have been playing games to find out how much pressure they can exert with Obama since they want the wars to continue into infinity. Today they lost the bet. President Obama is non-stop furious about McChrystal's idiot crude remarks.
Are you ready for this? It was a civilian member of the general's public relations team, Duncan Boothby, who set up the McChrystal interview with Rolling Stone Magazine in the first place. All that says to me is that the entire Pentagon culture is corrupt. It's time for Obama to clean house from the top down, starting with the entire room of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for tolerating this garbage. They are supposed to be the leaders. In reality they are guilty of treason during a time of war for disrespecting the President and disobeying his policies.

Funny Video: Stewarts Take On Americas Oil Dependence
*** Stewart thinks America is now listening about getting off oil dependence - or not.
From Denny: Stewart pointed out that President Obama is actually not the first president trying to wean America off our oil dependence. So, Stewart went off on a little history lesson tour starting with Tricky Dick Nixon. To date there have been eight presidents, count them, eight presidents trying to get across to us we have to get serious about moving America toward a non-petroleum based future. We must become independent of fossil fuels. Hmmm... how about telling that to the oil and gas industry that buys up new alternative energy patents so the public never sees them - and so we are forced to continue buying fossil fuels. Anyone see the obvious connection here?

BP Gets Their Moneys Worth From Apologetic GOP Texan Barton
*** Check out both the actual news clip and the funny mocking version by a comic.
From Denny: Talk about the ultimate Bozo Sapien Award going to Texas Congressman Joe Barton! We have to paint him into the Incredibly Stupid corner. Oh, that's right, he did it to himself.
Check out Barton's Words From A Bought and Paid For Fool Who Is A Traitor To His Country:
Texas Rep. Joe Barton from the House investigation bench about this oil spill to BP CEO Tony Hayward at the witness table, "I apologize."
"I do not want to live in a country where any time a citizen or a corporation does something that is legitimately wrong it is subject to some sort of political pressure that is — again, in my words, amounts to a shakedown. So, I apologize."
One of the many outraged responses to Rep. Barton is one from Vice President Joe Biden: "I find it incredibly insensitive, incredibly out of touch. There's no shakedown. It's insisting on responsible conduct and a responsible response to something they caused."
From House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: "While people in the Gulf are suffering from the actions of BP, the Republicans in the Congress are apologizing to BP."

Foreclosure Violated Military Act: Yet Another Reason Not to Live in Texas
*** A soldier returns from Iraq only to find his own Homeowners' Association sold his home at sheriff's auction.
From Denny: The whole neighborhood is in an uproar to discover a Texas homeowners' association thought nothing of it to foreclose on a house only owing a mere $800 in dues. A more than $300,000 house sold at sheriff's sale for a pittance to "an investor": $3,200. Then the homeowners' association re-sold it for the low price of $135,000 to another investor who proceeded to evict the original homeowners, the family of National Guard Capt. Michael Clauer.
Just one problem here, folks, there is the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). This federal law has been around since World War I to prevent sleazy businessmen from profiting unfairly while soldiers are on active duty away from home. The only way to foreclose on a military service person is for it to be ordered by a court. Yet the law did nothing to protect this military family. And that's the heart of so much of what is wrong in America today: we have the laws to protect yet no one enforces them so they end up toothless.

Funny Colbert, Stewart Video: BP Perplexed Stock Value Sinks
*** Colbert has fun with the BP numbers like $82 billion in loss to their stock value since the oil spill disaster.
From Denny: According to Colbert (and all of America) BP is a soulless corporate giant hell bent on killing all life on the East Coast. After all, the Big Business multinational company reasons, who cares about things that swim in the ocean? We can scoop up the oil and sell it for salad dressing to the food companies. Who's going to know the difference? The real question dogging BP is why is our stock still nose-diving down and off the cliff? We wonder why our shareholders have no confidence in us any more. Well, Colbert will be glad to explain it all to you, Tony, in simplest terms, of course.
