Note to White House: Quit Killing Future U.S. Hostages

A masked Islamic State British militant holding a knife speaks next to man purported to be U.S. journalist James Foley at an unknown location /REUTERS

From Denny:  Well, the Ferguson "Race Riots" were originally on my posting agenda but the military is fussing and cussing so vociferously about President Obama taking a victory lap and exposing details on the failed hostage rescue yet again this post took precedence.  What is the matter with the political hacks of this Obama White House?  Are they so depraved they don't realize how many people they have now condemned to death all because they wanted to prop up the President's sagging poll numbers?  Is their reasoning "it's better to look like the President is doing something and failed at the ISIL hostage rescue than to be perceived as doing nothing?"

And this is why after winning a second term every President needs to send home his political team and get a real team that is serious about proper governing.  You just can't take political people and transform them into governing people.  Why?  Because when the political heat is on they revert to their default programming.

The same is true for Sec. of State John Kerry taking his people to the State Department.  Political teams do not know how to interface effectively with diplomats of other countries or even of their own country.  It sure shows too as Sec. Kerry keeps coming home with so little in the win category.  His political people really don't know how to do the months and months of negotiations to set it up successfully so the Sec. of State can take his victory lap easily.

Sec. Kerry has six floors of seasoned State Department folks at his disposal, yet most are left with nothing significant to do every day.  They can't all be political backstabbers and clueless trust fund babies.  There must be dozens of qualified professionals in the bunch that can be a real help.  Quit allowing your political people to sideline your best people, elbowing them out of the work.

And back to the White House political hacks who are equally clueless and incompetent, elbowing out of the room the competent people who are eager to help this President.  What is it with all this self-aggrandizement of this President at the risk of getting current and future U. S. hostages killed?  All these political hacks are doing is making the job of hostage rescuers even more difficult than it already stands.  Political hacks are risking the lives of current and future hostages.  This White House already created terrible damage when they foolishly detailed the Bin Laden takedown.  What should they have really said?  How about this:  "Notice:  Bin Laden is dead.  He was killed by a woman:  Lady Karma.  Enough said."

The last thing you do is take a victory lap just to prove you are engaged and doing something behind the scenes.  It really looks so selfish and insensitive.  It cheapens the Presidency too.  When you win against an opponent on the international stage the worst thing to do is brag about it or stomp on their heads one more time.  It's immature at best - and gets too many people killed at worst.

And another thing:  Quit releasing so much information to my fellow media about which Special Forces it was, how many helicopters, what weapons, operational details of any kind.  It's stupid to expose systems and processes, making the next raid that much more difficult to accomplish without harm to our soldiers or the hostages.  All you have to say is something like this:  "We have been working hard behind the scenes at bringing home our hostages.  More updates when the situation changes."

Note to White House:  Quit thinking politically and get it in gear thinking about others beside yourselves.  Don't make me collect my Louisiana baseball bat and travel up to Washington, D. C. just to take a few whacks on the fools that thought this political stunt was such a good idea.  They should be fired, retired or put out to pasture - preferably all three options.

Note to my military friends and dragon warriors risking their lives and planning these operations:  Consider the White House properly yelled at for this disgraceful act of self-aggrandizement that continues to cheapen the Presidency and erode trust with the public, the armed services and the intelligence communities.

Funny Jon Stewart Disses Pakistan On Hiding Secret Helicopter Tail

Jon Stewart

From Denny:  Stewart lampoons Pakistan on their incompetence or their lying about the whereabouts of Bin Laden. Either way they lose. Either they were stupid or they were involved up to their proverbial eyeballs. OK, Stewart mentions that reference in the cruder terms of Man Speak that will have you laughing till your sides hurt.

Petulant Pakistan thumbs their nose at America and says they will keep their play toy helicopter tail full of sensitive technology the Chinese paid them to procure so it could be reverse engineered. Hint to the Chinese: You lose. It's probably a huge freaking lie in the first place and they wanted to infect your computers just like Iran. That calls for a real Hehehehe. Oh, well, all's fair in waging cyberwar.

Meanwhile, Pakistan demonstrates what great friends and allies they are with America by hiding from view said helicopter - supposedly full of secret military technology - with a makeshift room divider that looks like a deck of cards pinned on a clothes line.

Friends?  Allies?  Do America and Pakistan even like each other?  The humor never ends...

To Obama and Leakers: Shut The F Up About Seal Team 6, Secret Ops

From Denny: It's time for the excessive celebration to come to a complete halt over at the White House about the Bin Laden episode. Even I find it obnoxious how they continue leaking secret information about the Seal Team that carried out the raid on the Bin Laden compound.

Since the folks who occupy the White House never grew up in the military - or the intelligence community - it's about time someone clued them in on just how stupid and dangerous their leaks truly are.

Leaking this information is more than dangerous to the families and the warriors. It is also dangerous to those doing the leaking as it points a direct arrow at your house and your family. You are effectively placing a bullseye on your own back. How stupid can you get?

Here are your bullet points and cheat sheet for future reference:

* First of all, if you want to keep a secret organization effective it has to remain secret.

* Never reveal the names of the secret warriors.

* Never publish photos or video of the secret warriors.

* Never identify which branch of service of said warriors that carried out a specific mission.

* Never, never, never give the location of the base out of which said team operates.

* Never disclose where the family of said team lives.

* Never highlight politically on a warrior's tough work as if it were your own.

* Quite ticking me off with this childish excuse for governing wisely and risking the lives of spouses, children and the warriors.

From Sec. of Defense Gates during the time of the raid:  "We had reached an agreement that we would not talk about operational details. Frankly, a week ago Sunday, in the Situation Room, we all agreed that we would not release any operational details from the effort to take out bin Laden. That lasted about 15 hours."

Gates continued in exasperation to reporters, "I’m very concerned about this, because we want to retain the capability to carry out these kinds of operations in the future. When so much detail is available, it makes that both more difficult and riskier."

As a result, measures have been stepped up to protect the teams and their families. It's time the White House shut down their excessive celebration and get about the business of lowering fuel and food prices - and get the jobs situation righted in this chaotic economy.

Yes, "Shut the F Up!" to all you hotdogs at the White House. You are embarrassing the country. "Can you hear me now?"

Funny 2012 Election Politics, Obama, Bin Laden Cartoons

President Obama

From Denny:  When it rains it pours, goes the proverb. It applies to weather these days from the Spring snow melt-offs flooding the American Midwest to the South to the frenetic weirdo politics of 2012 presidential campaigning.

Mississippi River flood

I live in south Louisiana in Baton Rouge, a large city just south of the Morganza Spillway. The Army Corps of Engineers let open a number of gates to flood 18,000 acres of farmland and small towns. They hoped to save two of the largest population centers that are each a large port:  the capital city of Louisiana, Baton Rouge and the largest port, New Orleans.

So far the drought conditions in Louisiana have contributed to keeping the earthen levees strong enough to hold the strong Mississippi River while it pushes to change its course. Millions of gallons of water per minute are straining to scour the river bed and the levees as the river challenges its boundaries.

At present the estimated damage economically is about $2 billion due to the flooding.  The flooding prevents planting crops that feed the nation.  The flooding prevents port traffic on the River that slows down or prevents the chemical plants, the oil refineries and farms from delivering products.

Osama Bin Laden death

Speaking of boundaries - it's that segway thing - Bin Laden wore out his welcome on the national stage a decade ago and has been hunted ever since. Finally, this president and his intelligence community found the rat, set the trap and dealt with him and his enablers.

President Obama came under withering fire from Republican opponents trying to highlight on the Bin Laden success. The GOP, the Bin Laden family and other Arab groups keep demanding Bin Laden death photos. Obama refused to highlight on the terrorist's death and rejected releasing the death photos of America's nemesis.

Last week, Obama did allow Senators to view the death photos in an effort to quell the need to release the photos to the general public. Even GOP Senators commented at how gruesome the photos were with Bin Laden's brains protruding out of his eye socket where the bullet had entered.

Of course, Al Qaeda and The Taliban continue to vow vengeance. Even they have to be shaken that America finally lost patience with Pakistan's protection of Bin Laden, killing him ever so easily. Once the terrorist groups were convinced Bin Laden was invincible. Now they know he was not - and neither are they.

Since then, evidence of Bin Laden's life at the compound has surfaced. Video of him watching TV wrapped in a blanket, sitting on the cold floor, looking spaced out on drugs. More video of Bin Laden stumbling over a speech, looking to the side for encouragement and help from someone else clearly in charge.  Marijuana crops growing outside the kitchen window like some innocent herb garden.

Then there's the pornography found in abundance. The guy had four of his wives living with him. Why did he require pornography? Really makes you wonder what a supposed "holy man" was doing with all that mental garbage. Again, Bin Laden was a scam, someone who marketed himself as something he clearly was not.

And so it ends, the life of the typical cult leader imploding from a bad foundation built upon a house of cards. It does make a person wonder what he could have accomplished with his life if he had decided instead to do something constructive for society rather than specializing in death and destruction.  Well, I guess that's Bin Laden's contemplation for his next try on the Wheel of Life.  Can you imagine trying to live down that karmic debt?  Makes you wonder just how many life times that will require.  See, there really is justice.

Newt Gingrich and the 2012 election

Speaking of justice - don't you just love that segway thing? - there's Newt Gingrich jumping up onto the national stage to provide us with endless amusing entertainment.  It's like this guy is one big wad of chewing gum satire all wrapped up into a bow for the comedians and cartoonists.  He makes their job easy.

This past week, Newtie declared officially he was running for president.  I'm sure the Obama White House was secretly filmed doing the Excessive Celebration Dance in the hallways.  OK, they were probably laughing their a$$ets off.  I know I would be.

Newtie thought himself one slick Baby Boomer that tweeted his announcement on Twitter with a link to his YouTube video.  Like Jon Stewart commented, "The close-up was not a good idea.  They should have pulled out the camera - to somewhere like Cleveland."   Well, yeah.

Of course, this week, Newtie thought he would run away from the carefully polished conservative image and run to the political center.  He decided to go on a talk show and talk up how he agreed with Obama.  That backfired and  enraged his conservative supporters who told him he should leave the Republican Party.

Maybe if we are lucky he will leave the planet.  Then again, the aliens will probably deport him from the Universe for Excessive Pompousness.  If you look up one stargazing night and see a shooting star it just might be Newt Gingrich booted out of an alien spaceship.

It's been less than a week and Newtie, as usual, can't keep his mouth shut or prove he is presidential material. Read that as a major gaffe with the GOP who want his head on a platter.  The rough and tumble politics seems to be coming less from the candidates this year and more from the exasperated voters on both sides of the political aisle.

2012 election and Donald Trump

And the best news of all this week?  Donald Trump decided against running for president.  Quick, everyone make their best chagrined face.  Yeah, me too.  Like any of us were surprised at this huckster trying to pump up his flagging ratings for his idiot "Apprentice" show.  What made Trump the most nervous is the possibility of the business sector finding out he really isn't worth as much as he has been claiming all these years.  He is no longer a billionaire.

But hey, Daddy gave him $300 million to start years ago and he has left now in his coffers around $200 million.  He is such a "great" businessman.  Why anyone places this man on a pedestal is beyond me.  He is always giving his name to projects - yet has no money invested in them.  Sneaky, isn't he?  Licensing the use of his name or spreading investment rumors to get others to invest.  What a huckster.
