From Denny:  Listen, Clapper, if your intelligence agency heads keep sending you the same profile over and over, as they have been doing for some time now, quit getting angry about it and just fire their lazy asses.  They are still operating on the outmoded and unsuccessful game plan of Andrew Marshall who seriously F'd up both the military and intelligence communities for the past 60 years.  The Andrew Marshall idea was to hire just the very young, because, he reasoned, they were the easiest to fool and the easiest to control both mentally and physically.  Seriously?

You just can't keep hiring young IT people.  Young people don't belong in the ugly intelligence business.  IT people are the worst choice because they have rarely developed any people skills.  That isn't how their brains move in real time. They certainly don't have much life experience yet either.  The skills they do have for technology is great but you only need a handful of them compared to requiring legions of critical thinkers, and, yes, to a lesser extent, some analytical thinkers.

The field you should be looking at are the Baby Boomers and older.  What a shocking revelation?  That's right; you should be pulling from the 55 - 85 age group, as long as their minds are sharp.  You can teach IT skills to most of them who would be delighted to learn it.  Many of them are either underemployed and bored or outright retired and bored, wanting new challenges.  And, guess what, they would not be frittering away their days collecting dick pics and spying on nude celebrities like at the NSA...

Well, this initial framework for a nuclear agreement among the U. S., Germany and other countries with Iran goes a long way toward creating a peaceful relationship for the global neighborhood.  As it is, if Iran decides to back up on any part of the agreement, their Sunni nation neighbors will also be procuring nukes to balance Iran's aggressiveness...

From Denny:  Well, blabbermouth Fox "News" is drooling at the prospect of destroying a recently returned POW - and they are doing it with malicious glee.  Fox News has always had the reputation as Swift Boaters, quick to lie about others, when an accounting of all of the facts proves them inaccurate time and again.  Their military "sources" - read that as pals who are partners in crime - at the Pentagon planted this story with Fox "News" of how the Pentagon wants to charge POW Bergdahl with desertion.

You see, according to Fox "News" the Pentagon sees this as a "win-win."  The Pentagon got it in their little pointed heads that if they send out a retired military guy to spout their stupidity that it doesn't really count against them.  Seriously?  What drugs are these guys taking that so badly clouds good judgment?

The Pentagon political animals know they can only plant stories as trial balloons with Fox "News" because any other responsible news agency or network would start with the barrage of questions to flesh out the story in its entirety.  The Pentagon knows Fox "News" doesn't have any allegiance to compassion for POW Bergdahl - or the Truth.

Of course, Rupert Murdock, owner of Fox "News," is known for lying and stirring the pot to promote yet more lies to get market share derived from the manufactured controversy.  Like any yellow "journalism" tabloid owner Murdock knows if he tells the lies often enough and loudly enough, eventually the mainstream media will pick up his manufactured story, achieving what Murdock wanted all along: big profits.

Murdock and the fools that follow after him to do his bidding really don't care about how many lives they destroy along the way.  For them character assassination is their daily stock and trade.  Obviously, they treat harming others like it's a malicious extreme sport.  Tabloid "reporters" are the bullies in the news services...

GOP AND Hillary 2016: Get Serious Or Step Aside, Middle Class Is Fed Up

From Denny:  Voters for the Democrats, and Republicans alike, are looking all around for a political leader who will, well, lead.  Fourteen years of unadulterated insensitivity and outright political inaction geared toward the majority of the country have all combined to create a ground swell of bitter resentment and grousing that hasn't been seen in decades in this country against both political parties, especially the Republicans.  

The Middle Class is fed up with insincere speeches on economic progress, the drumbeat to go to war with ground troops yet again in the Middle East and lame political platitudes on every domestic issue.  The Pentagon is like a drunken sailor on holiday, spending huge money like there's no tomorrow on outrageously bad decisions because it's public money.  Let's see that money come out of their pensions and personal wallets.  Will they still spend so foolishly?

The Middle Class is disgusted and angry with Wall Street hand holding.  Voters of both political parties are angry with the gentle wrist slapping of cheap fines for business crimes instead of jail time.  Most of all The Middle Class is furious at the overt Good Ol' Boy Winks of government collusion that continues to create an environment of a stagnant U. S. economy and the constant evaporation of well paying jobs in favor of feeding The Beast of Greedy Corporate Profits while starving the people...

Chasing ISIS: Why Are Republicans And Pentagon Suddenly Forcing Iraq War Two?

From Denny:  The selling of Iraq War Two to the American public was in full tilt mode on all the Sunday talk and news shows.  Retired generals and other Pentagon talking heads are selling the "need" for U. S. ground troops to kill off the ISIS insurrection.  They all claim that almost 3,000 air strikes have had zero effect upon the psyche and operational ability of the marauding Sunni ISIS group of petty thieves, drug dealers, rapists, clueless teenagers and murdering psychopaths that are hellbent upon an unrealistic goal of world domination.

I tell ya, a person really has to wonder what drugs these Pentagon guys are on, as sometimes they really believe their own fear mongering wild-eyed press briefings.  It's clear they are helping the defense contractors make money:  it's called depraved War Profiteering.  Yeah, sure looks like the spouses and family members of these Pentagon heads are on various defense contractors' board of directors like Do We Cheat 'Em And How...

September 11th, Terrorism 13 Years Later: What Have The Saudis Done To Prevent Another?

From Denny:  While the somber ceremonies at the White House and across the nation remember the horrific terrorism of the day now known as "9/11" perhaps it's time to take a penetrating look at the center of this terrorism:  Saudi Arabia and the Arab League.  For the past 13 years it's astounding to note that neither the U. S. government or the world media have taken Saudi Arabia and other Arab League nations to task for fomenting and financing this global terrorism.

Saudi Arabia in particular, as well as their neighbors, have consistently offered excuses and deflected criticism for the last 13 years, claiming no real responsibility cultural, politically or religiously.  It is in their national self-interest to stomp out terrorism yet they continue to finance and arm these marauding groups like ISIL and al-Qaeda.  The Saudis are notorious for making grandiose promises they never keep.  The Saudis are well versed in telling the West what we want to hear yet never - ever - deliver substantially...

Dennys Global Politics: President Obama Address To The Nation: Destruction of ISIL With Global Coalition: From Denny:  In the next few days a lot of my fellow media are going to dissect - and seriously distort - what this President said here tonight.  Here it is in its entirety, unedited, as released from the White House.  Too much of what our government does or doesn't do gets lost in meaningless debate over skewed opinions rather than the facts on all the talk shows.

Not everyone has the time to sit down and watch the President's speech to the nation late at night when our brains are too tired to take it all in.  Which is why I've taken to putting up the various speeches, statements, executive orders and press briefings' transcripts so the public can easily view the raging debates from the beginning before the distortions start their rumor mills' journey to grab a hold of people's emotions.

Here, the President finally outlines his four part strategy for which he has been so soundly criticized as not having formulated soon enough.  Like lots of people have been mentioning, "Hey, if he doesn't have a strategy yet you sure don't announce it to the press you don't have one.  That misstep started a firestorm.  Tell everyone you are in the process of finalizing said strategy as you create a coalition of partners in this terrorism fight."

Well, this President never was adept at political or visual optics.  At least he and his team finally have nailed down some clarity on this ISIL issue so the nation and the global community know what to do next.  This speech is a good update on what other nations are doing as their part in this coalition.  I chose to bold the text that was most significant.  Take a look at the speech:

Where Is MIA Obama ISIS Strategy? How Do Misleading News Producers Impose Perceptions?

From Denny:  You sure can tell this is the mean political season.  Republican strategists sure don't mind how reckless are their strategies if they can get in a barrage of attacks against President Obama and the Democrats just to score points with their rabid base.  Nothing infuriates me more than cavalier politics - no matter which political party, geared to win no matter the costs to someone else's family: especially hostages held and tortured by terrorist groups like ISIS.

The Republicans and the No Brain Media (think:  Fox News and mainstream media that report what Fox is saying not realizing how bad they look to the public) just don't stop and think about the consequences of their actions.  We can definitely blame a lot of what is going on in the mainstream media news shows on immature, cavalier, downright intellectually and emotionally tone deaf news producers who are clueless as to what the public wants to know and how to deliver it.  Real journalists should complain and start demanding better quality content...

Dennys World News: June 2014: U.S., World News Links: From Denny:  Yes, I took a month off from posting.  It was interesting to observe how well the government and the Pentagon would do without me constantly fussing at them, pricking their bloated egos, prodding to action and offering solutions they usually adopted to some degree a few days later, trying not to be obvious they had no good ideas.

Sure rattled the Pentagon I took time away from posting any analysis.  "Where the hell is she?" demanded them of former Navy Seal Richard Marcinko, trying to scorch his butt for thinking he had not kept up with me.  They seem to be worried I'm too smart for them all - like a Snowden.  These guys have a long standing caustic military culture of trying to dominate what they don't understand, attempts to control what they are clueless about and then go ballistic when things don't go their way.  Yeah, we women are a mysterious bunch.  Women are the new Snowdens. :) Read on for more laughs ...

From Denny:  While the U.S. Congress rings its collective hands about how to stem the violence erupting in Iraq, everyone is missing the point.  Too many Republican politicians are trying to force a military return to Iraq in order to please their war profiteering defense contractors that support their campaign war chests.

Everyone is shoving bad advice President Obama's way, mostly to support that idiot Shi'ite puppet government that President Bush 43 installed.  This is the same Shi'ite government that aligned itself with Iran to be their puppet instead of the U.S. puppet.  This same Shi'ite government shut out the Sunni faction from participating in its own government.  Is it any surprise the Sunnis went rogue?...

Afghanistan: Pull The Plug NOW, 2 Funny Daily Show Videos

From Denny:  How many times does this President need for Afghanistan's Karzai to stick his finger in Obama's eye before he finally slaps back?  "President" Karzai was supposed to sign the security pact with the United States, then President Obama gave him a Tick Tock delay to sign it by the end of December.  Karzai is still negotiating for more and more and as outrageous as he can, claiming he will not sign until his conditions are met - not signing until maybe April 2014.  Karzai arrogantly dangles this possibility in front of Obama's nose like a gold-plated carrot.

So, President Obama sends as his envoy National Security Adviser Susan Rice to talk some sense into Karzai.  Did Karzai listen?  Of course not; he was as odious as ever.  Fortunately, Rice is tough enough to hold her own and I'm sure she gave Karzai an earful before she left steaming mad.  While she was at it here's hoping she threw a few elbows for good measure.  But then why would Obama send a woman to be so abused by a guy whose culture does not respect women?  Afghans treat women worse than starving feral dogs.  I guess Rice can count herself lucky she escaped without her nose and ears cut off by local crazies.

Which brings me to just what is Hamid Karzai?  Well, he's the puppet government first installed by President Bush 43 in December 2001.  Karzai does not control the country of Afghanistan.  He has a somewhat tenuous hold upon the capital city and that's it.  His brother was a drug lord while Karzai played at being President, giving a more respectably appearing, though deceptive, veneer to the international community.  At best Afghanistan is a smoke and mirrors government masquerading as legitimate.

Next in the story line was that Karzai's drug lord brother was killed by a rival faction.  It fell upon Karzai to take over the day-to-day dealings of the drug lord business while play acting at international politics.  In the past year or so, the various drug lords have allied themselves with assorted Taliban factions in order to preserve their ruthless empires.  The Taliban knows how weak Karzai is and are actively seeking to topple him, installing themselves in the Afghan government as yet one more victory for conservative and oppressive jihadist Islam.  Soon enough Karzai will be killed off just like his brother.  The Taliban were not that successful at terrorizing the West, especially the United States, so they turned to what is easier:  weak Islamic governments ripe for takeover...

From Denny:  Oh, how I have missed the Russians on the world stage.  Affectionately deemed as Denny's Fightin' Yard Cats, the Russians never fail to throw paws (at America), amuse by pinning some unlucky misbehavin' ears to the ground in a show of dominance (to Syria) or provoke reasonable people to deeper thought on international issues (yes, the World).

At least the Russians "get it" about discussing world issues in depth and detail as opposed to my American government - and their lazy think tanks.  Those think tank guys spend more time dreaming up catchy political slogans, tweeting arguments on social media, yessing each other in an echo chamber and talking like they skim the news headlines rather than invest in solving serious world problems.  Come to think of it, much of that sounds a lot like the Russian Yes Government in relation to how they behave with Putin...

From Denny:  Violence erupts in Egypt.  The knee jerk reaction is the Pentagon howls about what they might be in jeopardy of losing.  The Pentagon never does get their priorities right.  So, President Obama hurriedly does the Pentagon's bidding and rushes out onto the international stage to make their case before he fully understands Egypt.

The State Department is collectively wringing their hands that Egypt might become another Syria with years of civil war on the horizon.  And the rest of the world is shaking their head at the inept policies coming out of the American government that seems to be rudderless in addition to clueless.

Here are the principle players in this international drama:  the Muslim Brotherhood, the people of Egypt who want a secular government and peace with their neighbors, the Pentagon and Big Business defense contractors.

Is This Syrian Opposition Leader al-Khatib Really Trustworthy for the U.S.?

From Denny:  Today, newly minted Sec. of State Kerry met with the one man the West hopes can create a way to end the civil war mess in Syria where President Assad has massacred countless thousands of his own people.

Far too many are children Assad chose to torture and then kill, throwing their bodies out like garbage for their parents to see.  Of course, this idiot actually thought those heinous acts would intimidate the people, instilling fear for their leader, when all it did was convince them to fight harder to topple him.

Meanwhile, the West, especially America, has been desperately seeking one man who can unite all the various disorganized and disparate factions who are fighting their own tyrannical government.  Today's situation must be a lot like it was when Americans were fighting the British in the early years of the American Revolution when the other European countries were unsure with whom to talk and if it was wise to arm them.

Now, enter on to the world stage this Sunni Muslim geophysics engineer and Islamic preacher who supposedly professes equality for women, political plurality and does not want foreign military intervention.  He sure talks a good game.  Anyone remember Ahmed Chalabi from Iraq?  While this man, Mouaz al-Khatib may not be as oily or as greedy as VP Cheney's Chalabi, can we really trust him?

From Denny: Oh, what a political mess is this warring rhetoric from the Republican and Democratic camps over the perception of what happened in the killing of our ambassador to Libya. After all, it's an election year, two parties battling for control of the White House.

The Republicans are looking to gain points by bashing President Obama. The President? His side is trying to not look like they fumbled the intelligence football so they listened to their political hacks - when they now wish they had not.  Meanwhile, the FBI is waiting to get into the embassy zone when it's fully secured to complete their investigation.

Susan Rice gave her best Colin Powell moment, lying for her president. Obama should be ashamed of himself for even asking her to do this. Obviously, Sec. of State Hillary Clinton had enough sense to say no to this political suicide and strip search of her integrity.

Rather than report it before the families had a chance to hear about their loved ones and the White House had a chance to verify and organize a response I - and a lot of smart journalists - remained mute.  It's called respect for a national crisis and the families of the loved ones lost in the line of duty.  It's also known as integrity.

Apparently, Republican challenger Mitt Romney has no integrity.  He is not a real American and nothing but a traitor.  Why should we expect anything better out of this rotten Republican campaign?  He is the typical businessman who engages in war profiteering - campaigning to keep wars going on for years - while our troops give their blood.  This is as wrong as what Romney just did.

From Denny:  Sagging poll numbers for President Obama has sent him off in the direction most presidents run trying to grab some greatness, this time in the form of the famous Middle East Peace talks. This week Obama kept to the usual American rhetoric of "so, give back the land you took in 1967" strategy that the past three presidents have also tried to sell to no avail.

In case you were not alive in 1967 - or watching the news the past 30 years or maybe living under a rock - Israel did a huge land grab in 1967, taking the Sinai peninsula, the Golan Heights and the West Bank.  To make peace with Egypt they gave back the Sinai.

Of course, in Israel the American idea does not play well since they believe their current borders help protect them. They say they need the Golan Heights for water and the West Bank for expanding population.

Meanwhile, the Palestinians are still ticked off and wanting their land returned, emboldened by the Arab Spring revolutions invigorating several countries across the Middle East.

And, true to their famous stubbornness, Israel says any negotiation about Jerusalem is off the table. Well, considering the latest End of Days prophets in the media lately, maybe that's a good idea. After all, when true peace comes to Jerusalem then they can start rebuilding the Temple and we all know that's when the true End of the World happens, according to scripture. So, just maybe it's a good idea Jerusalem is off the table these days so we all can put off - again - the End of Days. :)

Seriously, though, it appears President Obama and Team Obama are clueless as to how to handle this tough situation. Making public appearances, giving speeches, acting like the political football is in play when it isn't just won't work any more with this generation. Both sides are dug in and both perceptions are intractable.

I have a marvelous out-of-the-box yet historical idea of how to solve the problem. It's radical and either both sides will agree or both sides will run in opposite directions. Hey, there's nothing like bold diplomacy, right?

How about you readers take a moment and think of a bold idea of your own as to how the world can solve this long term problem in the Middle East. For the funnier side, try figuring out what solution I have in mind.

Clues:

Yes, it's an historical solution that Israel has done in the past.
Yes, it's bold.
Yes, it's controversial.
Yes, it actually could work.

Funny 2012 Election Politics, Obama, Bin Laden Cartoons

From Denny:  When it rains it pours, goes the proverb. It applies to weather these days from the Spring snow melt-offs flooding the American Midwest to the South to the frenetic weirdo politics of 2012 presidential campaigning.

I live in south Louisiana in Baton Rouge, a large city just south of the Morganza Spillway. The Army Corps of Engineers let open a number of gates to flood 18,000 acres of farmland and small towns. They hoped to save two of the largest population centers that are each a large port:  the capital city of Louisiana, Baton Rouge and the largest port, New Orleans.

So far the drought conditions in Louisiana have contributed to keeping the earthen levees strong enough to hold the strong Mississippi River while it pushes to change its course. Millions of gallons of water per minute are straining to scour the river bed and the levees as the river challenges its boundaries.

At present the estimated damage economically is about $2 billion due to the flooding.  The flooding prevents planting crops that feed the nation.  The flooding prevents port traffic on the River that slows down or prevents the chemical plants, the oil refineries and farms from delivering products.

Osama Bin Laden death 

Speaking of boundaries - it's that segway thing - Bin Laden wore out his welcome on the national stage a decade ago and has been hunted ever since. Finally, this president and his intelligence community found the rat, set the trap and dealt with him and his enablers.

President Obama came under withering fire from Republican opponents trying to highlight on the Bin Laden success. The GOP, the Bin Laden family and other Arab groups keep demanding Bin Laden death photos. Obama refused to highlight on the terrorist's death and rejected releasing the death photos of America's nemesis.

Last week, Obama did allow Senators to view the death photos in an effort to quell the need to release the photos to the general public. Even GOP Senators commented at how gruesome the photos were with Bin Laden's brains protruding out of his eye socket where the bullet had entered.

Of course, Al Qaeda and The Taliban continue to vow vengeance. Even they have to be shaken that America finally lost patience with Pakistan's protection of Bin Laden, killing him ever so easily. Once the terrorist groups were convinced Bin Laden was invincible. Now they know he was not - and neither are they.

Since then, evidence of Bin Laden's life at the compound has surfaced. Video of him watching TV wrapped in a blanket, sitting on the cold floor, looking spaced out on drugs. More video of Bin Laden stumbling over a speech, looking to the side for encouragement and help from someone else clearly in charge.  Marijuana crops growing outside the kitchen window like some innocent herb garden.

Then there's the pornography found in abundance. The guy had four of his wives living with him. Why did he require pornography? Really makes you wonder what a supposed "holy man" was doing with all that mental garbage. Again, Bin Laden was a scam, someone who marketed himself as something he clearly was not.

And so it ends, the life of the typical cult leader imploding from a bad foundation built upon a house of cards. It does make a person wonder what he could have accomplished with his life if he had decided instead to do something constructive for society rather than specializing in death and destruction.  Well, I guess that's Bin Laden's contemplation for his next try on the Wheel of Life.  Can you imagine trying to live down that karmic debt?  Makes you wonder just how many life times that will require.  See, there really is justice.

Newt Gingrich and the 2012 election 

Speaking of justice - don't you just love that segway thing? - there's Newt Gingrich jumping up onto the national stage to provide us with endless amusing entertainment.  It's like this guy is one big wad of chewing gum satire all wrapped up into a bow for the comedians and cartoonists.  He makes their job easy.

This past week, Newtie declared officially he was running for president.  I'm sure the Obama White House was secretly filmed doing the Excessive Celebration Dance in the hallways.  OK, they were probably laughing their a$$ets off.  I know I would be.

Newtie thought himself one slick Baby Boomer that tweeted his announcement on Twitter with a link to his YouTube video.  Like Jon Stewart commented, "The close-up was not a good idea.  They should have pulled out the camera - to somewhere like Cleveland."   Well, yeah.

Of course, this week, Newtie thought he would run away from the carefully polished conservative image and run to the political center.  He decided to go on a talk show and talk up how he agreed with Obama.  That backfired and  enraged his conservative supporters who told him he should leave the Republican Party.

Maybe if we are lucky he will leave the planet.  Then again, the aliens will probably deport him from the Universe for Excessive Pompousness.  If you look up one stargazing night and see a shooting star it just might be Newt Gingrich booted out of an alien spaceship.

It's been less than a week and Newtie, as usual, can't keep his mouth shut or prove he is presidential material. Read that as a major gaffe with the GOP who want his head on a platter.  The rough and tumble politics seems to be coming less from the candidates this year and more from the exasperated voters on both sides of the political aisle.

2012 election and Donald Trump

And the best news of all this week?  Donald Trump decided against running for president.  Quick, everyone make their best chagrined face.  Yeah, me too.  Like any of us were surprised at this huckster trying to pump up his flagging ratings for his idiot "Apprentice" show.  What made Trump the most nervous is the possibility of the business sector finding out he really isn't worth as much as he has been claiming all these years.  He is no longer a billionaire.

But hey, Daddy gave him $300 million to start years ago and he has left now in his coffers around $200 million.  He is such a "great" businessman.  Why anyone places this man on a pedestal is beyond me.  He is always giving his name to projects - yet has no money invested in them.  Sneaky, isn't he?  Licensing the use of his name or spreading investment rumors to get others to invest.  What a huckster.
