Obama Wants To Hand Over Your Money to Big Banks To Gamble As They See Fit? Seriously?

From Denny:  Forget about being a lame duck, President Obama is now toast with the American people.  Who the hell wants their President to sell them down the road just to make a government funding deal?  Yes, our President has decided, in his infinite wisdom, to give Big Banks everything their greedy hearts desire.  Unbelievable.

Two weeks before Christmas here are President Grinch, and his evil twin, Wall Street Grinch,  demanding that American taxpayers pay dearly for Big Banks to continue down the dangerous road of a constantly growing $800 trillion in out of control derivatives by bailing out the Big Banks when their risky gambling loses.  The U. S. economy only makes about $20 trillion annually.  How are we supposed to pay off this insane level of derivatives when they go bad?

How can this President claim to be championing the Middle Class yet place our bank accounts at huge risk of steep losses by allowing Wall Street to take our money and play with it without our permission or any public discussion to explain these risks?  How can this President be so clueless as to do Wall Street's bidding?  Just how corrupt - or just plain reckless and stupid - is this White House?

Go ahead; shut down the damn government.  At least my money sits safely in its account for another day and is still mine not Wall Street's.  Clearly, this current government is more destructive open than closed down.

If that isn't clear enough, then now hear this:  Get your freaking greedy hands off my money, Mr. President!

Concern about those risks hasn't faded, even as the economy has been recovering from deep recession. One sign of the times: A forecasting publication, Gerald Celente's Trends Journal, just included "Bankism" as among the hot trends to watch in 2015. "In capitalism, businesses rise and fall on their own merits. No business is too big to fail. In bankism, too-big-to-fail banks don’t rise and fall on their own merits. They are saved by governments that in turn force the public to pay for banks’ mistakes," writer Nomi Prins says in the journal, describing the trend."

GOP AND Hillary 2016: Get Serious Or Step Aside, Middle Class Is Fed Up

From Denny:  Voters for the Democrats, and Republicans alike, are looking all around for a political leader who will, well, lead.  Fourteen years of unadulterated insensitivity and outright political inaction geared toward the majority of the country have all combined to create a ground swell of bitter resentment and grousing that hasn't been seen in decades in this country against both political parties, especially the Republicans.  

The Middle Class is fed up with insincere speeches on economic progress, the drumbeat to go to war with ground troops yet again in the Middle East and lame political platitudes on every domestic issue.  The Pentagon is like a drunken sailor on holiday, spending huge money like there's no tomorrow on outrageously bad decisions because it's public money.  Let's see that money come out of their pensions and personal wallets.  Will they still spend so foolishly?

The Middle Class is disgusted and angry with Wall Street hand holding.  Voters of both political parties are angry with the gentle wrist slapping of cheap fines for business crimes instead of jail time.  Most of all The Middle Class is furious at the overt Good Ol' Boy Winks of government collusion that continues to create an environment of a stagnant U. S. economy and the constant evaporation of well paying jobs in favor of feeding The Beast of Greedy Corporate Profits while starving the people...

Romney-Ryan: Stupid On Steroids, Insults American Voters

From Denny:  Can the Romney campaign get any worse?  Apparently so, considering the latest gaffe of an open mike recording of Romney speaking to a pack of like-minded empty-minded folks at a Florida fundraiser and barfed up online, courtesy of President Jimmy Carter's grandson.

It went viral.  Clearly, Mr. Romney has zero respect for half of America that are voters.  He basically said that everyone is stupid but him.  What an arrogant self-righteous ass.

Yeah, Romney, that's a plan.  Go ahead.  Insult the very people you are attempting to influence to vote for you.  Wow, what a smart guy, fresh from the Wall Street board room.

Romney has painted millions of Americans (his claim as 47 percent of the country) as "stupid, co-dependent upon federal government, thinking they are supposed to receive entitlements like health care, jobs, housing.  They think of themselves as victims and that it is not his job to worry about those people."  Romney says, "he cannot convince these people to take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

What is the Romney-RNC-Republican Party response?  They have doubled-down and agreed with him to classify half of America as subhuman.  This is exactly what is wrong with the kind of hard-hearted nasty people that promote the Republican Party.

GOP Plans To Axe Food Stamps For Over 150 Million Americans

From Denny:  Over 46 million households in America depend upon the food stamp benefits program to put enough food on the table to feed their families.

If each household is a family of four then you are looking at maybe as many as 184 million Americans.  That is over half to two-thirds of America in need of help to eat each day.  No one said it meant three meals a day either.

It does not seem to matter to the GOP and Congress that these same Americans have contributed as taxpayers to support these programs.  Now, the unthinkable for the majority of them is to draw food stamps benefits.  They have no choice; the economy is that bad.

Many active duty military to retirees use $100 million in food stamps benefits.  Are the Republicans just out of control crazy to do this to them and the rest of America?  What is wrong with these people?

The Republicans are revealing their latest devious attempts to severely limit or slash social programs for those in deep need.  Talk about nasty.  This time they are hiding food stamp benefits cuts in a 1,000 page "farm bill."  Get this; of the four out of five dollars in this "farm bill," $80 billion a year goes to grocery bills for one of every seven Americans taking food stamps.

Supposedly what has spurred these idiot lawmakers to slap America with this outrageous bill is because of the rise in food stamps participants.  In 2007 there were 26 million Americans on benefits.  By 2011 there were 44 million on SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program).

Military were redeeming $31 million in food stamps back in 2008.  By 2011 that figure grew to $101 million.  Obviously, there is a need and it's growing at a rapid pace.

Republicans mistakenly believe there must be fraud or abuse involved as the explanation for the dramatic increase.  What drugs are these guys on?  Don't they know there is an economic world depression going on and getting worse every quarter?

From Denny:  People like me are walking away from the Democratic Party to join the fast growing third alternative, finding a place in the Independent/Unaffiliated column.

Democrats - and Republicans - are so fed up with Bought Government ruining our lives we are leaving the dominant national political parties in droves.  This 2012 election will prove to be a stampede of voters away from the mainstream - and now highly corporate money corrupted - politics.  In fact, 52 percent of America wants a third party because the two national parties do such a poor job.

This presidential election, predicted by all the official prognosticators, will be won by a razor thin margin.  The pollsters are beginning to bring home the obvious all the rest of us already know:  the voters no longer want to vote this president into a second term.

President Obama's support has dropped steadily since his fast track 2008 election.  Perhaps too much was expected of him.  Perhaps the country is so irrevocably screwed up by Wall Street and corporate puppet politicians that no one can fix it now.  One thing is for sure, President Obama had many forks in the road where he could have defended the Middle Class against the rapacious Republicans and Big Business, choosing to do little or nothing.

From Denny:  Sounds like Michael Moore has been listening in to the conversations at our house - or hijacked my keyboard strokes. :) Seriously though, great speech and ALL true! You can read the transcript or listen to the video he posted onto YouTube.

Moore spoke at a rally against Gov. Walker's decision to deny collective bargaining rights to the teachers he has decided to fire. First the public workers lose their rights, then the rest of us across the country watch our wages drop like a rock to ten cents an hour like in a third world country.

Women are now supposed to make exactly what men make for the same job since President Obama passed the new equal pay law when he first entered office. Since then the economy took a nose dive into another Great Depression that economists are afraid to label as such but the middle class knows it to be true. Almost 21 million people are out of work, whether long term or short term since Big Business started sending our jobs overseas. The big joke for tourism to India: "Visit India, Visit Your Old Job."

From Denny: This is a disturbing report. As foolish Republican strategists, conservative media and everyday citizen political hacks continue to fight the President on health care reform because their incomes are paid for by the insurance industry, middle class people with jobs have to resort to free health clinics for basic needs.

Free clinics were once the last resort of the poorest of the poor in America. Today, people call their local fire department and 911 calls for free help as much as overwhelming the emergency rooms of hospitals. Now the new trend is free clinics. Has America become a third world nation? We are a nation in distress and Big Business and the Repubican Party doesn't give a damn.

Americans are dropping their health insurance premiums in droves. No one can afford the $15,000 a year premiums just to own basic coverage. That doesn't even address catastrophic coverage if they were to experience a cancer diagnosis.

Nor does the health insurance industry any longer guarantee, even if rated up to higher premiums, that a person can get coverage because of pre-existing conditions, some as easy to treat as Type 2 Diabetes.

Doctors and nurses are already overworked across America from a stressed out medical system. Yet, here they are, a number of hardy loving souls, volunteering their "free" time to help offer health care to folks who can no longer afford health care premiums. Those $100,000 a year jobs are now only paying $30,000. With a 70% cut in pay across America (because of Big Business still continuing to outsource our jobs as no one has stopped the so-called "work visa" program), no one can any longer afford what they used to pay, yet the insurance industry keeps rocking along gouging the American consumer.

How Senator Ted Kennedy Affected Your Life in America

From Denny: Did you know that Ted Kennedy passed over 300 bills during his tenure in the Senate? He also co-authored another 550!

“Ted Kennedy changed the circumstances of tens of millions of Americans,” VP Biden.

How did he affect our lives today? How does that translate into your everyday life that this generation may take for granted was always there?

Here are just a few examples that make life easier for so many to live well:

Wheelchair ramps: wheelchair access in public places; those are thanks to Ted Kennedy.

Minimum wage: you earn more thanks to Kennedy

Children’s Health Insurance: he went to bat for the most vulnerable members of our society – children

Kennedy was the driving force behind COBRA - for people in need of health insurance when just fired from a job.

He developed personal relationships with people like a 6 year old child suffering from diabetes who could have benefited from stem cell research. He didn’t just use her in front of the cameras for politics. She first wrote him a letter asking for his help on pushing for stem cell research; he read that letter on the Senate floor. For years he privately corresponded with Lauren Stanford, thanking her for her help and encouraging her in her fight with juvenile diabetes. The public never knew about that.
