From Denny:  If Obama's Axelrod's lips are moving, then it must be a lie.  Same goes for Bush's Rove.  They both have strongly demonstrated they are political opportunists and willing money whores, selling out to the highest bidder.

For more than the past four years I've watched this political strategist called David Axelrod.  He claims to be a Democrat but has yet to convince me this is true.

Like I said, his lips are moving but his deeds say different.  What has happened is that he has been found out in so many lies, misstatements and half-truths that they are piled so high upon one another like a pile of bones on a weathered battlefield - out in the open for all to see.

His latest gaffe is "leaking national security secrets" like the special computer virus that so annoyed the Iran regime at their nuclear facilities.  Of course, he "protests too much" that everyone strongly suspects he personally did it.

Poll: Prez Obama, Congress Strongly Blamed For Bad Economy

From Denny:  Most of America blames President Obama and Congress for having done a really lousy job when it comes to the economy.  

According to this The Hill poll, 66 percent say scarce job growth and an anemic economy is because of bad policy.  This is not good news for Camp Obama because in June the Gallup poll showed dissatisfaction was at 52 percent.  That's quite a steep jump in only 30 days.

Most people are angriest at President Obama, registering at 34 percent in The Hill poll.  Another 23 percent accuse Congress as the dirty culprit in this national economic mess.

WTF? DOJ Attorney Threatens Reporter At Public Hearing?

From Denny:  Turns out that President Obama's "transparency in government" does not seem to apply to the Department of Justice (DOJ) and at a public hearing.  Talk about obnoxious and a denial of the freedom of the press.  A newspaper reporter from The Daily Iberian was actually denied his civil rights - and publicly by a DOJ attorney at a public meeting.

This is downright bizarre.  Since when does the DOJ have the right to deny a reporter to record, take notes or quote one of their attorneys who is making public comments at a public hearing?  That is exactly what happened.  Who died and made the DOJ God?  The arrogant attorney's name is Rachel Hranitzky and this happened in New Orleans, Louisiana.

John Edwards: DOJ Admits His Innocence, Drops Charges

From Denny:  The word is with several investigations launched - and from many different quarters - breathing down their necks, the DOJ decided to clear their desk and end the political vendetta against former Senator John Edwards.  Are they trying to bury any evidence that would place them in danger of being put in jail for witness and jury tampering?

Law experts all believed it would be months or a couple of years before Edwards could breathe a sigh of relief, anticipating whether or not the DOJ would file a second trial against him after the mistrial on five counts but an acquittal on the major count.

After all, this is one seriously vicious political year and Obama must turn his attention away from savaging fellow Democrats to savaging his contender, Romney.  Romney sure won't spare Obama any slack on the vicious front.  He's a Republican with truckloads of cash suddenly pouring in from Wall Street to help deluge Obama with negative ads.  Democrat donors are fed up with the Obama-Axelrod coalition and the money is just not there for his reelection.

It was a good decision by the DOJ to walk away from more of Stupid.  This was a bad case that was not winnable from anyone's corner.  But then it never was about winning the case; it was about dragging Edwards through the mud to destroy any future chances of running for office or being popular inside the party.  How petty can you get?  Apparently, with this White House the answer is yes, very petty.

The response from Edwards' attorneys, Abbe Lowell, Allison Van Laningham and Alan W. Duncan, about the DOJ decision to dismiss the remaining charges was they were pleased with the decision.  They believed a second trial would have created the same outcome.

They said, "While John has repeatedly admitted to his sins, he has also consistently asserted, as we demonstrated at the trial, that he did not violate any campaign law nor even imagined that any campaign laws could apply.  We are very glad that, after living under this cloud for over three years, John and his family can have their lives back and enjoy the peace they deserve."

From Denny:  People like me are walking away from the Democratic Party to join the fast growing third alternative, finding a place in the Independent/Unaffiliated column.

Democrats - and Republicans - are so fed up with Bought Government ruining our lives we are leaving the dominant national political parties in droves.  This 2012 election will prove to be a stampede of voters away from the mainstream - and now highly corporate money corrupted - politics.  In fact, 52 percent of America wants a third party because the two national parties do such a poor job.

This presidential election, predicted by all the official prognosticators, will be won by a razor thin margin.  The pollsters are beginning to bring home the obvious all the rest of us already know:  the voters no longer want to vote this president into a second term.

President Obama's support has dropped steadily since his fast track 2008 election.  Perhaps too much was expected of him.  Perhaps the country is so irrevocably screwed up by Wall Street and corporate puppet politicians that no one can fix it now.  One thing is for sure, President Obama had many forks in the road where he could have defended the Middle Class against the rapacious Republicans and Big Business, choosing to do little or nothing.

Im Just Saying: How To Protect Your Vote

From Denny:  Middle Class America watches the national political scene play out and we have all come to the same conclusion.  Yes, both political parties, the Republicans and the Democrats, are so ridiculously compromised by corporate money they are morally rotten to the core.

Neither party listens to their base.  Neither party seriously considers doing anything for their base to improve their lives for such obvious areas like the outrageous cost of health insurance or equal pay in the work place.

Don't believe the moral rot to be true?  There was a time, like the 2008 election, when $100 million won the campaign.  Consider this:  President Obama bragged about how he and Team Obama were collecting $1 billion for his reelection campaign.

The Republicans' Bragging Rights?  They are collecting their own $1 billion - via the Karl Rove machine - and adding to it as we speak.  Over $300 million alone has been donated from The Koch Brothers in this election cycle, the ultra conservative billionaires that hate unions and the unemployed.

John Edwards Trial: Free At Last! Edwards Wins New Life

From Denny:  After nine days of deliberations, the jury found John Edwards not guilty on the central count, count three.  The jury found Edwards not guilty of receiving illegal campaign contributions.

There is no verdict on the other five counts because the 12-person jury could not come to a unanimous decision as is required under federal criminal law.  So, the judge was forced to declare a mistrial.

What was interesting today is how the judge received a note from the jury of the acquittal on one count, though she did not announce which way the verdict went.  Instead, she and the prosecutors insisted that the jury go back and reconsider changing their positions and keep working on all the counts.  Did the judge not like the acquittal on the one count and wanted the jury to change it?

The jury sent a second note about an hour later with the fact they were deadlocked for a unanimous decision on the remaining five counts under consideration.  Read that as a frustrated jury saying, "Screw you, judge, we're done and are going home."

John Edwards Trial: Dirty Judge Seeks Mistrial?

From Denny:  Why would a judge abruptly stop jury deliberations as Judge Catherine Eagles did last week early Friday morning?  Have the U.S. Marshals guarding the jury been passing on information to the federal prosecutors and the judge about which way the jury is leaning for or against Edwards?

With the Political Fix Is In Crowd leaning on the judge and the prosecutors to get guilty verdicts and bury Edwards, are the prosecutors and the judge motivated to declare this trial a mistrial? It would appear they are strongly motivated at this point to save their careers since they are no longer confident they can deliver a conviction.

After three days of jury deliberations, and the particular requests from the jury, especially in regard to the Mellon exhibits and transcript testimony, it would appear the jury smells a rat.  The judge denied the Mellon transcript testimony and ordered the jury to rely upon their memories.  That's odd.  Since when does a judge deny a jury the trial testimony they have just heard?  How is she trying to influence the jury?

John Edwards Trial: Bizarre Alternate Jury Antics

From Denny:  For the past couple of days the four alternate jurors have been acting out in the courtroom during the wait for the jury deliberation.  Talk about strange.

Yesterday, the four alternate jurors all wore yellow shirts in solidarity.  Solidarity for what?  Today they all wore red.  Just what are these people up to and who paid them to do it - and why now?

The past couple of days there has been more odd behavior.  Of the four jurors, three are men and one is a woman.  The woman has been seen giggling and tittering when entering the courtroom, flirtatious with Edwards constantly.

Talk about inappropriate.  Why has the judge not dismissed this woman?  Why is this alternate juror just now doing this after weeks of testimony?  What's going on here?

John Edwards Trial: Kangaroo Court Seeks To Direct Jury Conviction

From Denny:  Here's just a small snippet of how this Kangaroo Court breaks it down to cover their asses, both the judge's and the jury's should they enjoy convicting this man.

The judge is first baffling the jury with so much contradictory bullshit as to confuse and frustrate them into finding Edwards guilty out of sheer exasperation.  Judge Catherine Eagles basically informs the jury to find a way to hang Edwards and the court will give them cover.

Oh, and did I mention that the government never did specify where said crimes were committed and was not even sure when it was supposed to have happened?  How can you bring a case when you can't even nail down the specifics?  You want to send a man to jail for 30 years without any direct proof of said conspiracy?

What's interesting is just how convoluted is this so-called sham of a 45-page "jury instruction" clearly meant to direct the jury to a guilty verdict:

John Edwards Trial: Smart Brave Move Today by Defense

From Denny:  In a bold and brave move today, Team Edwards shut down this case, resting their defense on the third day.  Why?  Could it be more obvious?  The prosecution never had a case.  Better yet, the jury is so turned off to the prosecution's "star" witness, the guy who came across as very scummy, Andrew Young, they will acquit Edwards quickly on all charges.

What shocked the jury - as well as the public - was to discover that Young stole the majority of the money given by the donor friends meant for the pregnant girl friend.  What surprised the jury is that Edwards was never involved in it.  Rather it was something his campaign donor friends wanted to do to spare him and Elizabeth further pain and embarrassment during such a bitter public campaign.

Look at it this way, the jury is probably thinking, if Edwards really was involved in the money trail to the girl friend, don't you think he would have done something about the money wrongly funneled to Young?  Don't you think he would have taken measures to personally give more money to Hunter in order to secure her silence?

If Edwards was really so keen to hide Hunter from the public don't you think he would be miffed to find out that 80 percent of the funds were diverted away from her?  It sure looked like Young was working the campaign donors, Hunter and Edwards all at once.  No wonder the man was drinking heavily and taking sleeping pills nightly.

John Edwards Trial: Prosecution Fail, Dirty Judge, Truth Denied

From Denny:  For three weeks now all the prosecution has put on trial to show the jury is the ambitious political atmosphere of aides jockeying for personal power, the complete control of a candidate - and personal revenge.  What an ugly world.

In the aftermath of the 2008 political campaign and ensuing sexual scandal, aides also sought financial profit, many writing books years later.  Clearly, they have an agenda to join in the Destroy John Edwards Game of Obama and Axelrod.  This trial will become known historically as an infamous political vendetta played out on the national stage.

The Edwards Marriage

While our federal government was at it, they also decided to dissect the very sad and dramatically dying - and finally dead - Edwards' marriage.  This trial has been all about a forensic marriage audit.

Obamas Whitewater: Political Vendetta, Persecuting John Edwards

From Denny:  Yeah, like this salacious trial is truly in the public interest.  More like it's in Team Obama's interest of eliminating possible political contenders as well as settling old political scores.

Axelrod, now Obama's "senior adviser" and handler,  is still smarting from when Edwards fired him from his 2004 presidential campaign and has been chasing revenge ever since.  It was foolish of Obama to give Axelrod his wish because now there will be blow back upon Obama, both political and criminal.

Oh, and did I mention how the lobbyists despise John Edwards for his campaign stand to eliminate them?  So, they decided to eliminate Edwards by making sure he is the object of such enduring public scorn and excessive humiliation to ensure he will not rise again as a national politician to thwart them.  Remember, Edwards is starting up a public interest law firm to fight lobbyists that have a stranglehold on our government and is no darling of the lobbyist community.

Women: Pentagon Rapists Decide If Rapes Prosecuted

From Denny:  This week two new lawsuits against the military were brought concerning sexual assaults in the military academies.  It was necessary because the women were unable to get investigations into the crimes.  They were also wrongfully discharged as retaliation for reporting their rapes.

This past year sexual assault reports in the military have increased by 60 percent.  Sec. of Defense Leon Panetta reads that as women are more comfortable and trusting to make those reports.  Well, that's one optimistic way to view it.

Of the 65 reports, only one resulted in a court martial.  It makes you wonder if only one out of the 65 was truly investigated so the Pentagon threw out this bone to the women's groups to look like they were achieving something significant.  And did I mention the White House declared April as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month?

Rush Limbaugh Bleeding 3 More Advertisers Over Fluke Slut Slurs

From Denny:  This week the Rush Limbaugh show bled three more advertisers: Kohler, Fisher Nuts and Reputation.com, an online reputations management and Internet privacy service.  The tally is now up to 145.  Many were regional and local advertisers.  He still enjoys 9 permanent national advertisers, though 3 seem shaky.

It's been a month since the uproar push back from women started with Limbaugh throwing out his slut, prostitute and whore slurs of Sandra Fluke in a three day diatribe that infuriated the nation.

One amusing development is that this uproar forced Limbaugh to hire a crisis consultant.  "Ya think?"

Jon Stewart Mocks The Trayvon Martin Hoodie Threat

From Denny:  Jon Stewart lampoons hoodie wearing supportive journalists and politicians trying to join the trending and popular national conversation demanding a proper investigation into the tragic death of Trayvon Martin, a young black man deemed suspicious as he walked through a neighborhood wearing a hoodie.  Amazingly, without the public outcry and national pressure, the police had no intention of investigating the crime.

Trayvon's Neighborhood Watch stalker decided the teenager was "suspicious" just because he was wearing a hoodie and walking in his neighborhood.  It turns out that Trayvon was returning home to his parents after visiting the grocery store.  He was minding his own business while carrying a soft drink, a bag of candy and talking on a cell to his girlfriend.

You really do get tired of all this idiotic racial profiling like evidenced by this stalker, an obsessed member of his Neighborhood Watch.  Hell, let's send the entire American public to the CIA school for reading basic body language and micro facial expressions for the utterly clueless.

Rush Limbaugh: 3 Funny Colbert, Stewart Videos, Late Nite Jokes

From Denny:  Did you hear?  Today another advertiser turned tail and ran away from Rush Limbaugh.  This time it was Kohler, manufacturer of those stylish faucets and other kitchen and bath fixtures.  That makes 143 advertisers, with about 9 left in his smelly pervert corner.

Of course, I'm sitting in a diner having lunch today in the red state of Louisiana, with the channel tuned to the ridiculous Fox News, and who is featured?  

You guessed it, Fat Boy Blowhard Rush Limbaugh.  The amusing thing is that the love affair with Fox News and Rush Limbaugh is waning even here in the deep South.  "Can I Tell Ya?" that the only person watching the screen was the liberal blogger in the room.  Everyone else was treating Rush like he is so last year fashionista.

WTF? New York Times 1 Of 10 Still Advertising On Rush Limbaugh This Week?

From Denny:  Can you believe it?  This newspaper is supposed to be the bastion of America's best journalism and they have been advertising on the Rush Limbaugh talk radio show.  Worse, they were still advertising this week after all that has happened.  What are they?  Brain dead?

It was bad enough the New York Times went to their petty "You only get to view 20 articles for free a month, bitch, unless you are a paid subscriber" attitude.

This past week they kicked it up a notch to "You only get to view 10 articles for free a month, You Big Bitch, You Whore, You Slut unless you are a paid subscriber" attitude.  New York Times management must be on Self Destruct Drugs.  What is it?  A prescription from their Fox News buddies?  Why would they so cavalierly alienate half of the nation and the world: women?
