Iraq Sectarian Violence: Will U.S. Be Sunni Or Shiite Puppet?

From Denny:  While the U.S. Congress rings its collective hands about how to stem the violence erupting in Iraq, everyone is missing the point.  Too many Republican politicians are trying to force a military return to Iraq in order to please their war profiteering defense contractors that support their campaign war chests.

Everyone is shoving bad advice President Obama's way, mostly to support that idiot Shi'ite puppet government that President Bush 43 installed.  This is the same Shi'ite government that aligned itself with Iran to be their puppet instead of the U.S. puppet.  This same Shi'ite government shut out the Sunni faction from participating in its own government.  Is it any surprise the Sunnis went rogue?...

Ukraine: Time To Label Russia A Rogue State and Beef Up NATO?

From Denny:  While Putin plays Liars Poker with the world, losing miserably, it's time for the world to move past this dead leader walking.  It's only a matter of time before he is assassinated or removed from office.

Meanwhile, the rest of us need to decide how we will handle rogue actions like this seizing of sovereign territory as Putin has done in Crimea.

He has his eye on the rest of the Ukraine, hoping to take it in big chunks: the first easy plucking was Crimea as he knew most Russians back home would not oppose him.  Next he is moving to take Eastern Ukraine where there are ethnic Russians in residence as they are in Crimea.  After that he plans to take back the rest of Ukraine just for general principle and a fun military exercise...

Benghazi Scandal: CIA Petraeus Screw-Up, Hillary Wins By Landslide in 2016

From Denny:  The Republican political machine has been frantically busy of late.  The 2016 mud-slinging is in full swing in mid-2013.  Guess these guys just couldn't wait.

They also saw an opening when Team Obama got lazy again after winning their second term.  It just goes to show if you want to stay on top of the mountain then you had better look busy, pushing hard ahead,  chasing after millions of jobs for underemployed and jobless Americans if you don't want to get knocked off the top of that presidential mountain.  That might also explain why President Obama has dropped down to the 65th position in the Most Trusted List this year.

More WTF? More Cool From Team Obama Giving Up Salary Money in Show of Sequestration Layoff Solidarity?

From Denny:   America, forget about political optics, sliding our way this entire past week was more cool  from the Obama White House channel.

Yes, it's true.  There actually are federal officials giving away their money back to taxpayers.  Happily blame Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and his Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter for starting this trend when they jumped up and volunteered to put some skin in the sequestration game. (See this post for details.)

"Yes, don't ask of your country what they can do for your wallet but rather volunteer some of your paycheck back to your country's wallet" may be the new political trend?  One thing is for sure, these Democrats  definitely make the Republicans look like the usual stingy political losers flying their freak flags on the national political highway.

Damned Java Hack Causes Blogging Issues, Posting More Soon

From Denny:  To all my friends and readers out there in virtual land, a note:  the Java hack has disrupted the Chrome browser and the Blogger platform off and on for some time.  Availability to post is limited - especially when reduced to using back-up IE browser which handles like a trumpeting war elephant on a college dorm panty raid.

Looks like right now is a good time to start writing. Will see how long access lasts.  By now you all know I'm not the most patient person with sluggish technology.  All hell breaks loose in this house when tech decides to go on holiday or offer whining excuses as to performance.  Maybe some snarky tech scientist should invent Computer Viagra to remedy performance issues.

Sure have a back log of Inauguration posts.  Did manage to watch nine hours of the Inauguration coverage:  the serious, the solemn and the funny.  Sure felt hinky the first 3 - 4 hours about something ominous in the works in the security background - like an increased threat level because of the gun rights nuts - so I kept watching the entire day to monitor the President's situation.

Was well impressed with the many layers of security - and that above and even below the parade route.  I would have preferred though to see an increased to a triple level of Secret Service agents walking alongside the car, and, especially when the Obamas walked parts of the parade route.  Secret Service can feel free to snarl at me all they want but that's my added recommendation to a job well done otherwise.  Nothing like polishing the good to get better, right?

After a few hours into the Inauguration coverage things seemed under control and didn't have to worry about President Obama as he would succeed in finishing the day alive and well.  Yeah, praying for people to keep them safe is always a wise thing to do.  There are many different ways to have someone's back...

Also, watched today the couple of hours of Sec. Hillary Clinton's dynamic testimony to the Senate about the Benghazi, Libya issue and how to solve the security and procedural problems for the future.  She rocked!
