From Denny: The past few months even I just can't watch Morning Joe, usually a pretty good political show - representing both major parties and views - for which I have much forbearance watching Joe go off and jump up on his usual soapbox for a too long of a monologue. The entire round table are now myopic, living in an echo chamber of gloom and doom, too grumpy, too negative for not good enough reasons, and just plain cranky old men - and one cranky women too influenced by their negativity. Not very attractive, guys. They have gotten lost in the weeds with far too much naval gazing on minutiae that the voters have no use for at all. Grabbed the remote and changed the channel.
Been changing the channel on Hardball, though not as often. All these shows want to do is show Donald Trump screaming yet some other stupid statement and then talk it to death, beat it back alive enough to catch a few breaths before expiring, and then beat it yet again. I'll tell you what: I'll walk on to your sets and gift you with a dead horse so the viewers get a better visual of how stupid this all looks...

It's like visual diarrhea on steroids. Same for Hillary Clinton memes. The mocking community is in full overdrive for the 2016 election cycle on both sides of the political aisle. As usual, it's more personal than substantive. Forget about it there is anything useful for a voter to intelligently decide the best reasons of who should lead this country.
Watching some of the GOP convention is a lot like those memes on steroids: nothing useful for the country, just a bunch of screaming and streaming garbage that has nothing to do with governing a first world country...

From Denny: Who knows you - as the reality you - better than your spouse? Well, former President Bill Clinton knocked it out of the park with his version of "the spouse speech" for a presidential candidate.
While some of the younger female commentators took the obtuse perspective and frowned upon Bill's speech as the only way to tell Hillary's story was to center it around Bill's life, most commentators understood what he was really doing with the chronicled narrative of Hillary's adult life once she and Bill met and joined forces to do good in the world. In fact, Bill Clinton did a great job of doing the Hillary campaign's job for them: opening a window into their private world to allow the public to know about the evolution of and entirety of Hillary...
Just in case any of our fellow Americans living overseas missed this funny because you are living in a country of heavy censorship, I'm putting this one up for you. (So far, none of my blogs have landed on a censorship list in some foreign country because I'm too small to notice. ) For all the rest of us, it's good to laugh yet again even if you have seen this clip a hundred times. It just possesses that lasting quality.
Donald Trump really is just too full of himself. It's like he has appointed himself dictator, but more on that later about what has been popping up in the news that could be prove quite chilling if he were actually elected and propelled into the White House.

From Denny: Two major disasters for the Republican Party just on day one of their much touted Trump style showbiz convention. First up? The political party that lays claim to - and totally brain washes their followers into believing with such conviction - is that they are the party of "the rule of law." Well, until that "rule of law" no longer serves their immediate political purposes and grab for power so they blow on past that "rule of law" like a winter north wind on a subzero cold day.... From Denny: Does any one in this country actually promote or like abortion? No. Even as a liberal I agree with my Republican voting friends that abortion is disgusting and disrespectful of humanity. But the way the Republican Party screams about the abortion issue does not solve the problem and has not solved the problem in over 40 years. Obviously, the Republicans do not know how to lead the country - just stir up passions in cultural scream-offs just to win yet another election. After the elections all the politicians sit on their hands doing nothing until the next election cycle of what will be broken promises.
Planned Parenthood has some serious problems with those insensitivedoctors caught on video discussing the marketing of fetal body parts. Of course, the calculating GOP strategists are promoting that video to rally the cause to defund Planned Parenthood - that also happens to do a lot of good for women's health issues in other areas like cancer testing.Defunding Planned Parenthood is not the solution that will change the need for abortions.
The real questions every voter should be asking about that Planned Parenthood video is who the hell are these medical science creeps that are demanding said fetal parts be given for free or sold to them for their research and development of who knows what? How pervvy can you get? What exactly are they doing with that fetal tissue? Why is there a "market" for fetal tissue, hearts and lungs in the first place? Does this situation have anything to do with a severe shortage of donor organs in China with wealthy Chinese willing to pay any price to procure those organs?...
From Denny: My fellow media are flabbergasted that billionaire Donald Trump is rising so fast in the Republican polls. The media is so entrenched in their collective bias that they refuse to take his candidacy seriously. Hold on to your hats, folks, because Trump will survive far beyond the summer flavor of the month. Come on; we all know that former President Bill Clinton secretly got him to run as a way to help clean house on the Republican candidates, paving the way for Hillary to win. Well, that strategy just might backfire since Trump is catching on with the disgruntled middle class.
Well, Trump may be stupidly wealthy but he still knows how to talk Middle Class in his brash Brooklyn accent. In fact, Trump reminds me much of the very bold personality of President Teddy Roosevelt. And, he is every bit as passionate about his views, with plenty of real fire in the belly running for President that the American public likes in a presidential candidate. We certainly are not seeing any of that fire in the belly with any other Republican candidates and only with one Democrat candidate, Bernie Sanders...

From Denny: It really is past due time to get serious about dealing with the issue of World Hate. Black people think it's "just" about historical racism aimed squarely at them. Well, that's true - and it's also an ugly part of a much larger and more pervasive problem destroying humanity from within.
Hate is like an invasive weed that chokes out the sunlight and dries up all the nutrients and water that gives Life to the surrounding plants. Think of this scenario in terms of a nation or a religion and the consequences are staggering...
From Denny: Make sure you VOTE! to get your voice heard above the lying political campaign ads. If we want to change out our politicians who refuse to attend to the needs of the American people and get this country going again, then VOTE! even if you did not intend to vote until 2016 for the presidential campaign. Make sure you have a valid I.D. like a driver's license or other state issued I.D. Republican legal teams will be out in full force nationally to challenge voters at the polls, intent upon throwing out millions of votes or preventing millions of voters from being able to exercise their right to vote at all.
Even here in Louisiana the Republican brand is so disliked by voters that the candidates refuse to acknowledge they are Republicans on all their yard signs and political literature. The public may be almost as angry with the Democrats but less so than with the Republicans who are too lazy to work but 13 percent of the time in Congress. Why are we paying these lazy fools $168,000 annually anyway? Part time work should be rewarded with part time paychecks and no health care plans since they are temporary workers. Works for me.
Meanwhile, enjoy the political jokes, poking our most greedy and clueless politicians. Get out and VOTE! and create a tsunami to overwhelm Congress with how the middle class wants real change and real change now...

From Denny: You sure can tell this is the mean political season. Republican strategists sure don't mind how reckless are their strategies if they can get in a barrage of attacks against President Obama and the Democrats just to score points with their rabid base. Nothing infuriates me more than cavalier politics - no matter which political party, geared to win no matter the costs to someone else's family: especially hostages held and tortured by terrorist groups like ISIS.
The Republicans and the No Brain Media (think: Fox News and mainstream media that report what Fox is saying not realizing how bad they look to the public) just don't stop and think about the consequences of their actions. We can definitely blame a lot of what is going on in the mainstream media news shows on immature, cavalier, downright intellectually and emotionally tone deaf news producers who are clueless as to what the public wants to know and how to deliver it. Real journalists should complain and start demanding better quality content...

From Denny: OK, did anyone else find it disturbing to view a thuggish lunge attack and hear on air a series of death threats to a guy giving that Congressman some air time? Rep. Michael Grimm of New York thought it appropriate to threaten to kill a reporter on air while the cameras were rolling.
From Reuters: Grimm abruptly collared Scotto and told him, "Let me be clear to you, you ever do that to me again I'll throw you off this fucking balcony." When Scotto protested that it was a "valid question," (about an ethics investigation) Grimm replied, "No, no, you're not man enough, you're not man enough. I'll break you in half. Like a boy."
Rep. Michael Grimm (R-NY) is an attorney, an ex-Marine who served in Iraq and an ex-FBI agent who was undercover infiltrating the famous wise guy Gambino Crime Family of New York before he ran for Congress.
In typical political clean-up after this weird oh, too public encounter, Grimm claimed he was upset he was not getting respect. So, now a news interview is playing out more like an episode of The Sopranos? It would be funny if this situation was not so very serious because it really was a display of the creepy ridiculous...

From Denny: This year voters don't see much choice to improve their lives for the next four year term. President Obama subscribes to the philosophy of The Minimum Acceptable, a caretaker of the political status quo and hand-holding a petulant Big Business.
Gov. Romney is viewed as the guy who will finish off what's left of the middle class, taking away Social Security and getting rid of what affordable health care exists from Obama's minimal and very expensive legislation. And, oh, yeah, Romney and his conservatives don't "believe" in the minimum wage; in fact, they want to completely abolish it.
Neither candidate is telling the voter what to expect the next four years on the economy, foreign policy, health care, equal pay in the private sector for women. Romney thinks women live in binders like some abstract thought. (That's the polite version.) Obama passed the Lilly Ledbetter Act to help women in the public sector but stopped short for helping women in the private sector. It's that stopping short Obama is so famous for doing that ticks off the voters, especially the undecided.
Romney and Ryan are complete fools when it comes to foreign policy. Their idea of America in the world is to "be strong" and start yet more wars, even nuke the enemy. Who is going to pay for all these new war fronts? It's the Bush era cowboy approach, totally disinterested in the difficult but long term more effective paths like diplomacy, negotiations and sanctions. Romney and Ryan seem to forget that all that atomic fallout blows up into the upper atmosphere and blows over here to America, contaminating our farm lands and residences. What are these guys thinking? Romney and Ryan both have shit for brains.
From Denny: Tomorrow night the big political match-up between the flip-flopping challenger Republican Mitt Romney and incumbent Democratic President Barack Obama will be nationally televised. So far to date, Romney senior advisers have whined about the political polls incorrectly lean toward people identifying themselves as Democrats. What's the matter? Find your Republican base eroding? Even here in former red state Louisiana droves of people no longer identify with the Republican Party and now list themselves as Independents. If the Democrats actually got serious about making their case more Independents would sign on into the Democrat camp permanently. More weird in this odd campaign, Romney sends out his wife to whine to the press about "how hard it is" to run for President. Oh, please, watch the millionaire's wife bitch about working for a few short interview stints and campaign rallies. How about all the people bitching as to why their pension funds are sitting in the Romney personal account because of his corporate raider ways? Last time we all checked that's called "ill gotten gains." Then Romney decides to disrespect the entire half of America, much of his voter base. Romney spurred new satirical t-shirts about Romney's labeling "the 47 percent" as co-dependent upon government and total users. Never mind that the elderly, the disabled veterans, working class people struggling to survive and loads of children were found to be living in that 47 percent. What a gaffe. Now the two campaigns are sparring about preparing zingers for the first debate tomorrow night. That should be rich. Can all of you imagine excessively socially awkward Romney attempting sarcastic, or worse, comedic timing? Does he really think President Obama will play his personal punching bag? Obama may be a lot of things but one thing he isn't is socially awkward. He also thinks well on his feet most of the time, especially in a one-on-one competition. Obama has also grown some in his four years in office. Romney's campaign will under estimate Obama, only to regret it. Obama? He would do well to figure out how to lip sync President Bill Clinton's 2012 DNC speech in summary form. Why? Because that's the only way to pull his butt out of the voter firing squad, angry about the economy and bad jobs situation. The polls have tightened up so much it's time to remind the voters of the Clinton Big Brain's ability to reframe the facts and accomplishments. Stay tuned. This debate should be very entertaining. Meanwhile, check out the late night comics' jokes about this 2012 election. And these are just the collection of political jokes about what has happened in the month of September. From Denny: OK, this is rich and I just have to comment since I grew up in the CIA. What the Republicans are doing is unacceptable. What are they doing? Lying, lying and lying some more in the way of misdirection away from the guilty Party: them.
What I find almost as annoying are the media folks who can't seem to remember what they reported for eight years under the Bush administration. It's like they have a collective Who Me? amnesia.
Is the Speaker telling the truth? Yes. How do I know? I watched the news like everyone else during the Bush years and it was clear she and all other Democrats were pushed out of the small loop of information. Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rice and Gingrich were the main players, the true holders of power and dominance, policy and decision makers. When the CIA reported what they didn't want to hear, like the bald-faced truth, they demanded they rewrite their reports.
Remember the Valerie Plaume incident? They outted her (which is treason by the way even when they do it) because she came back with nuke info they didn't want to hear and she and her husband constantly contradicted Cheney and Bush's public lies with the evidence. By outting her they lost years of experience and destroyed a tough intelligence network to build.
Only fools would destroy an information-gathering network about the status of rogue nukes in the world and still believe they are patriots protecting the country. Protect us from people voting in these destructive fools who would not know a good decision if it jumped up in their faces and begged them to take it home and sleep with it for free.
How else do I know? I know the culture and the historical beginnings of the CIA. The CIA was originally created as "The President's Men" much like the Jesuits were created as "The Pope's Men." The CIA have always been the loyalists to whichever President is sitting in office, any party. They do what other agencies and public words cannot - whatever needs to be done, legal or illegal.
They basically can enable someone who is corrupted by absolute power and that's exactly what happened in the case of the Bush-Cheney years. After all, Bush and Cheney kept firing all the knowledgeable, competent and people of good character in the CIA, the Pentagon, and everywhere they had reach until they finally found enough weak and greedy people to carry out their bidding.
The short version is that Bush ordered them to lie and present false information. He ordered the CIA to withhold information from the Democratic members of Congress AND any moderate Republicans who just might share that info with Democrat friends across the aisle.
This fiasco belongs to the Republican Party and their minions (lobbyists) and enablers (voters). The press needs to grow a pair and quit forcing us to listen to the whiners who couldn't tell the truth if they tried. Maybe it's time to go to a one-party system as the Republicans have proven themselves useless to this country in our time of great need. They are too busy planning their next grab for power. The CIA has never truly been the issue today or in the past. They were just the reaction to the action set by Presidents.
Without the political party to direct and task them the CIA has no mission other than to gather information worldwide. What IS the issue are two events: the ruling political party who sets the policies and toxic politics into motion and the voters who enable that direction.

From Denny: Have you seen the latest racist garbage coming out of the GOP? They claim this is actually funny and refer to it as an "Historical Keepsake Photo." Unbelievable. Look at the "photo" in the bottom right hand corner to catch the visual propaganda.
I live in a Republican state AND it's the South. I know damn well what they are really saying here. CNN calls it white eyes on a dark background. How tame can you get? What the GOP racists are really saying is "Look at the spook in the White House!"
Some fool actually had the stupidity to write a comment into CNN claiming "everyone should just get over it because he thinks it's funny." He's from Arizona, a GOP state. Hmmmm...
This GOP war room is quite active these days and as nasty as ever. With them it never is about real issues but rather about character assassination. Hate speech has to be stopped dead in its tracks. Blowback! If you agree, write CNN and complain like thousands of other bloggers!
