Funny Jon Stewart Mocks 2012 State of the Union Address

From Denny:  Bored from watching the State of the Union Address?  Jon Stewart pokes fun at both the address and the Round Table of Idiots to analyze said speech.  It's as if it's what you really want all those reporters to say, you know, like brain diarrhea and totally "socially inappropriate" - totally.

Like most comedians, Stewart feels it's his American duty to pummel this political joke fest into submission.  Jon especially enjoys watching the cut away photos of audience reactions - like that of the First Lady's to Obama's really bad joke.  "Honey, I told you that was so not funny and not to use it in the speech tonight."

Then Stewart moves on to lampoon the Republican response in the embodiment of wax figure Mitch Daniels.  The poor guy looks like he's been pickled in some lab jar of a mad scientist.  This is the same guy Republicans are begging to run for President to challenge the surge of Newt Gingrich.  Is it any surprise he is yet another bad choice?  Looks like Obama might win by just standing still, yeah, the Republican field is that bad.

Funny 2012 Election Late Nite Jokes and Videos

Look away! Look away!
Look away! Look away! (Photo credit: Norm Walsh)

From Denny:  With the holiday season yesterday's news, it's time to catch up on the hilarious jokes from the late night comics about the GOP candidates and their utterly lame "debates."  These are all the jokes from December 2011 and half of January 2012.

As the political season wears on - and wears out the goodwill of the public - the jokes will only get sharper as the political attacks get nastier.  Put on your hockey face mask as the Zingers are about to get hurled at you from every angle during the next 11 months.

All the major news networks are now calling for some serious fact-checking on those GOP claims pooped out onto the airwaves.

You know it's really bad when the mainstream news starts complaining about the very guys who buy the ads on their networks that they encouraged to behave so badly in the first place.  Do you think it might have something to do with the fact the majority of the public is not paying attention to those silly debates?

Keith Olbermann On UK News Corp Dirty Tricks Scandal

Rupert Murdoch - World Economic Forum Annual M...Image via Wikipedia
Rupert Murdoch

From Denny: This scandal of tabloid media despicable has so thoroughly disgusted the world that finally the British government is doing something about it. Hacking a dead soldier's email, hacking the phones of murdered teenagers and terrorist victims is heinous. What ever possessed these people to sink so low below the pond scum of humanity?

The reaction in the UK? Let's see, let me count the ways: Advertisers have pulled out, saying they will not return until after the investigations happen. The public is so fed up they have dropped subscriptions all across the country to the once popular newspaper. Politicians are jumping in front of cameras to get their denials on record. The police who also assisted this newspaper by accepting bribes are on the hot seat of investigations. Even the guy who helped propel current PM David Cameron into his national office is on the grill. The list goes on.

It's a three year scandal that just won't go away. In case you didn't know, the paper is owned by Hated-In-America media mogul Rupert Murdoch, owner of FOX News. Right about now a herd of Democrats are watching and wondering if it will adversely affect FOX News here in America. Could it be this easy? Could we finally be rid of the Liars News?

Currently, the newspaper in the UK, News Of The World, is folding up shop and going out of business. No advertisers, no subscriptions and loads of pending lawsuits have killed that business concern. Do not be surprised to witness the tabloid cockroaches rising again under a new name. There are already rumors of new names being floated around the web.

Friday Lite: Latest Late Nite Jokes and Videos - 12 Nov 2010

Latest jokes about the midterm election shellacking, funny videos, a Cee Lo Green music video from Colbert..

From Denny:  What would the world be without politics? We would have nothing to lampoon, mock and sneer at on a regular basis for entertainment, that's what! :) While "Satan" may have invented stress, well, God invented humor with a side dish of politicians - and comedians to mock them. Take a look at this week's "doings" and offerings from the funny guys in late night entertainment.  Sometimes, I think the truest political opinion is the funny one.  They hold up a mirror to humanity's foibles and arrogance.  It's a humbling experience.

Who knows?  Maybe the comedians like Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert will succeed in getting out the youth vote and really scare the pants off the Republicans.  Remember, the sobering demographic fact about this 2010 midterm election is that 78 percent white men voted, few women voted, 9 percent Hispanic voted and about 10 percent African-Americans voted.  And that's why we have bad government - when we leave it up to only one segment of the country to vote in our politicians.

Video clips featured:

Music Video: Cee Lo Green Performs On Colbert Report - Colbert has some fun with popular musician Cee Lo Greene.

Funny Video: Colbert Mocks Bush Memoir Decision Points - Colbert enjoys the presidential memoir - a real page-turner.

Funny Video: Potty Training Your Sloth - Check out real life humor of how to potty train a very slow sloth.

Video: 10 Funniest and Seriously Trippy Cereal Ads - Check out some funny demented cereal ads over the decades - and how your mind has been secretly brainwashed to buy their products as adults.

Funny Video: Jon Stewart Mocks Really Negative Campaign Ads - Lots of voter anger aimed at both political parties, especially from these negative campaign ads choking the air waves every election.
