Jon Stewart Interview: Popular President Clinton On The Economy, Mid-Term Election, Wedding

America's most popular ex-President talks about how to get the economy jumpstarted and the serious erosion of the middle class if the election is turned over to the Republicans.

From Denny:  Former President Bill Clinton keeps rising in popularity as President Obama descends that ladder. America is restless. Since Obama was elected the middle class has grown increasingly disappointed we are left out in the cold - again - by the Democratic Party that used to support the middle class against Big Business eroding our wealth, our stability, our hopes for the future.  The people ARE the economy and when the people have lost confidence the economy slides down into despair.

Older Baby Boomers are now jobless to the tune of 20 million plus with no help on the horizon. Now they are getting thrown out of their homes because we have a federal government unwilling to rein in Big Business and place restrictions and restraints upon the ruthless junkyard dogs of the business sector. It's all because every politician and every political party wants those corporate donations for another election.

And the youth vote? The youth vote is understandably spitting angry they are 40 percent unemployed since graduating college. With high debt from student loans and no way to pay back those loans they are forced to return home to their parents. The question is this: How many of those parents are now jobless and homeless?  Then what?

While many Americans are still working in this uncertain economy, what is not recorded or part of the national conversation is just how many pay cuts people have been forced to accept over the past three years as the economy began to spiral out of control. Prices rise or remain steadily high yet job pay continues diving down at a rapid rate.

It's clear that the Republicans and Big Business have finally achieved their goal: Send so many American jobs overseas that there is now a huge labor pool competing for fewer jobs than workers. People are desperate to take any job at any price - just what the Republicans and Big Business have desired. Now employers can be as cavalier as they choose, pay as little as they choose, offer no benefits - all because the federal and state governments no longer support the people who voted them into office.  Big Business and their puppet Republicans have created a new class of huge poverty in America, formerly known as the thriving middle class.

The following interviews of former President Clinton are with Jon Stewart over at The Daily Show on 1 Oct 2010 as the Democrats finally realized they had to ramp up to sell their agenda before losing miserably in the mid-term election.

In this extended interview with Jon Stewart Bill Clinton reveals the cheapest way to get the economy going again.  He also talks about Chelsea's emotional wedding and the impact of the Clinton Global Initiative.  Bill Clinton believes President Obama should go and campaign in areas where he can help Democrats in the mid-term elections.
