NSA Leaker Snowden: Time To Bring Him Home Safely Without Delay

From Denny:  Well, for the moment the assassins were called off taking out Snowden and they sure were surprised as that was a new one to them.  War dogs don't enjoy being told to heel, especially when one group had Snowden in their cross hairs.  Snowden has some fierce warrior angels looking out for him these days.  He had better appreciate them because they are protecting him on their own time.

Adding to the international drama stupidity, the typical idiot response from China is talking openly about kidnapping Snowden to torture him for details.  Let me share a thought with China.  Kidnapping Snowden is NOT in China's best interest.

Quite the contrary because America would go to war on several levels over this situation.  In addition to what the President would do the average American would be so angry they would boycott all Chinese products.  Harming the Chinese economy would be more damaging than the gain of any silly information China thinks they can mine from the inexperienced Snowden.  China - and any other country contemplating going after Snowden - would do well to sit back and not try to take advantage.  This area is where they should never go as it will set off a whole other set of dangerous dominoes they will not find pleasant.

President Obama and the intelligence-military-Big-Business-political complex is in a real dilemma, a dilemma in which they placed themselves.  They want to focus their fury upon Snowden when it is unwise people in our government who have refused to create close oversight and do their due diligence to rein in excesses and abuses by these 500,000 private contractors installed during the War on Terror years.

Sooner or later a scenario like this was bound to happen.  Come on; just how lazy is the intelligence community (IC) anyway?  Why on earth do you have 70 percent of your work farmed out to billion dollar private corporations?  Tell me again why the American taxpayer is paying you? If these guys are doing most of the work then maybe you are now irrelevant.

How do you ever hope to oversee private contractors effectively, efficiently or on a timely basis?  Do you even run regular checks to make sure they are not reselling information you just blindly hand over to them?  Of course, China targets these private contractors with cyberattacks.  Hey, I've got a great idea.  Let's just farm out our "intelligence" work to the Chinese, the Russians and the Israelis and let them send us back the answers.  Maybe they will do it cheaper too.

Clearly, none of our government officials fully relate to what treason really is versus whistle blowing.  Their only concern is they have been embarrassed by someone half their age and their arrogance just can't handle it.  When Bradley Manning really did commit treason there was hardly a peep out of this crowd.  Now that Snowden is claiming whistle blower status government officials are screaming bloody murder from the rooftops.  Why?  Because they are all agents purchased by the defense industry and there are literally billions of dollars of profits at stake.  We voters may have elected them but the defense industry owns them.

To date Snowden has not imperiled troops at war or anyone in the field.  That could change though I seriously doubt it.  All the hissy fits from politicians, the IC and the private contractors do nothing to advance their case against Snowden.  In fact, it calls into question and reveals just how much lying they have been doing to the public.  What Snowden has done is publicly acknowledge what the spy community and government crowd have lied about for years.

The public is way ahead of all of you - which basically makes what Snowden did a moot point.  It's The Big Secret everyone knows. The American public is not stupid nor does the public need to be coddled.  When it comes to terrorism "security" Americans have been furious at all the wasting of taxpayer monies on frivolous and much too expensive projects that amount to chasing our tails.

That's everything from the stupidity of the TSA and their radiation machines that reveal an airline passenger's nakedness in vivid detail to this PRISM program of spying on the entire country and who knows who else abroad.  The public is aware examples like these are greedy Big Business getting fat government contracts that end up angering the public about a lot more than inconvenience. In fact, it never was about just the inconvenience.  It's about TRUST in our government and right now there is precious little, dwindling to less and less every hour.

America's government soul really is corrupted by years of war, excessive fear, frenzied chasing around to figure out the next big development of technology for an advantage to kill terrorists faster.  Meanwhile, what the government has achieved is to look stupid.  Most of the remaining terrorists have finally realized they don't need to take the war to America any more.  All they have to do is sit back, watch us implode and laugh out loud.

America is killing itself out of fear of the unknown and greed for profit to supposedly stop that attack.  The reality is that most terror plots were discovered or taken down by people not technology.  Passengers on planes jumped the suspects.  People in a crowd identified suspects.  People called in tips to law enforcement whether local or national.  Simple low tech traffic cameras caught the Boston Marathon Bombers on record.  Far too much focus has been placed upon technology as the savior.  It isn't.  Rather it ends up enslaving us to let technology do our thinking and our leadership.  Come on; really?

It's time for America's leadership to wake up its brain.  Forget about arresting or prosecuting Snowden.  What?! you say?  How can we do that?  It's simple.  It's past due time for American leadership in Big Business, the military, the IC and the government politicians to quit with the policy of sending out assassin squads every time you get breached or embarrassed publicly.  It's past due time for America's leadership to grow up and figure out how to be honorable, instead of just taking care of themselves.

If America's leadership wants respect then you have to give it to the American people.  Frankly, ever since this idiot War on Terror began our government officials have ceased to respect the American people even a little bit.  At this point in time, it's the public who is now smarter than a fifth grader because Congress and the rest of our government leadership sure hasn't demonstrated it.  Everyone is too busy dialing for dollars, from the Pentagon to the politicians.  You let the government get away from you.

What to do with Snowden?  This is such a no-brainer.  In exchange for never being prosecuted he goes back into the government service.  What?!  you say again?  It's better to absorb him back into the government than to leave him hanging out in the cold where the Russians, the Chinese and even the Israelis want to dissect him.  The good news is that Snowden would be a marvelous addition to the Government Accounting Office (GAO).  Yes, he has a nose for investigation and a moral compass, something sadly amiss in our current government structure.  Attach Snowden to the GAO or another Inspector General agency with a team who would keep diligent and vigilant oversight on these private contractors.  Clearly, he recognizes abuse.

So, bring Snowden home safely out of the cold.  Keep your promise not to prosecute him.  Get him out of the limelight and set him to work keeping our government's private contractors honest and in line with the law.  And don't let AG Holder's Justice Department blunder this case by acting like the 800 pound gorilla yet again.  No one trusts Holder's Justice Department.

If you cannot figure out how to bring in Snowden, then, hell, I'll volunteer to go get him.  I promise not to act like that clown Dennis Rodham.  :)  And, hey, my warrior angels can't stay with Snowden forever.  They have other projects more pressing.  Snowden would never have been in need of protection if the government groups had not over reacted in the first place.

It's time for America's leadership to get back in balance and do the right thing:  Bring Snowden home, keep your promise not to prosecute and hire him to oversee those shady private contractors.  It's the perfect ending beginning to the story.
